Construction Capabilities

ATP possesses the technical knowledge, capital equipment, and relentless attention to safety required to rise to the challenges presented when planning and executing large scale EHV Transmission Projects. ATP has extensive experience in all aspects of EHV transmission line construction supported by a large and specialized “mission-critical” in house fleet of specialized all terrain equipment. The ATP management team has extensive experience coordinating helicopter-aided construction operations having placed concrete, organized large lay down yards for structure erection, and all facets of wire installation. Remote adverse terrain, compressed schedules, and environmental concerns requiring innovative construction techniques are the differentiators separating ATP from the rest of the industry.

Safety and Training

ATP’s full time safety professionals ensure all safety protocol and procedures are adhered to by implementing and following all project audits, and correcting and reporting deficiencies that may be encountered. A Lessons Learned based safety culture allows ATP to send its employees home safely just as they arrived every day. ATP proactively approaches and cultivates a unique safety culture and outstanding occupational training program by providing the following to all employees:

  • 10 Hour OSHA required by all employees
  • 20 Hour OSHA required by all supervisors
  • NCCCO crane certification for all crane operators
  • Daily Tailboards
  • Task Hazard Analysis performed as work conditions change during the work day.
  • Equipment daily inspections
  • Project specific orientation, outlining the safety hazards and environmental concerns specific to the project location.
